Hello!

I'm Jenni Matthews — aesthetic nurse, licensed aesthetician, clinical skincare formulator, and the founder of JM Pro Clinical Skincare. For me, aesthetics is an art, a practice, and a science. And after more than 30 years of working with skin every single day, that belief has never wavered.

My Story

Over the past 33 years, I've specialized in chemical peeling, micro-needling, acne, hyperpigmentation, sensitive skin, and skin rejuvenation. In 1998, I opened my first skincare clinic — a milestone that marked the beginning of a lifelong commitment to hands-on clinical care. Many of those original clients are still with me today. It has been one of the greatest honors of my career to care for them, their children, and their grandparents. I am truly invested in their skin health and their overall well-being, and that long-term relationship is at the heart of everything I do.

As an aesthetic nurse injector, I also offer cosmetic injectables, such as neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, bio-stimulators such as Sculptra and PRF eZ Gel  — always with a natural approach in mind.

I currently teach advanced aesthetics at JD Academy & Spa in Danville, California and at the League of Extraordinary Stylists in Pleasanton, California. Teaching is one of my greatest joys — I love sharing my knowledge with aesthetic students and giving back to the industry that has given me so much. Educating the next generation of aestheticians is my way of paying it forward.

My favorite topic to teach — and the foundation of everything I formulate — is pairing the correct active ingredients to the correct skin type and skin condition. This is the science behind effective skincare: knowing which active substances will work on an individual's unique skin. It's not one-size-fits-all. It never has been. And it's precisely why JM Pro formulations work — every ingredient is intentionally matched to the skin type and condition it's designed to treat.

I'm also pursuing my Master's in Nursing — because there is always more to learn.

Why I Formulate

In 2019, I started formulating because I wanted to know exactly what I was putting on the skin — no parabens, no sulfates, no phthalates, no endocrine disruptors. JM Pro Clinical Skincare is the result of that commitment.

My Philosophy

The health and maintenance of the skin is my main focus. I will always strive to nourish and maintain the skin barrier with biocompatible and bioidentical substances already found in the skin — natural moisturizing factors, lipids, peptides and exosomes, vitamins and minerals, and antioxidants. Skincare is proactive, not reactive. And I'm here to guide you through every step.

Where It All Began

From 1993 to 1997, I apprenticed with master aestheticians — and the most important thing I learned was skin assessment and analysis. Once I felt confident in skin analysis and building both in-clinic and at-home protocols, I knew I was ready. In 1998, I opened my own clinic dedicated to clinical skincare: results-driven, solutions-oriented, and laser-focused on outcomes that actually work.

I am forever grateful to the master aestheticians who generously shared their knowledge and expertise with me during those formative years. That gift of mentorship shaped everything — and it's one I now pass forward every time I step into the classroom to teach the next generation of aestheticians.
