Our formulation standards aren't static. We continuously monitor and evaluate new research on harmful ingredients — so every product we make is as safe as it is effective.

Parabens are synthetic preservatives linked to endocrine disruption. We don't use them. Ever.

✓ Sulfates

Sulfates strip the skin's natural barrier. Our formulas cleanse without compromising.

✓ Phthalates

Phthalates are plasticizers that are well known endocrine disruptors. We do not use them. Ever.

✓ Synthetic Fragrances

"Fragrance" can legally hide hundreds of chemicals. We use none.

✓ Formaldehyde

Common in preservative systems, these are known carcinogens. No place in our formulas.

✓ BHA/BHT

Chemical Preservatives. We use safer, effective alternatives.

The Why Behind Our Formulations

In 2019, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease — an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks the thyroid. The cause? It could be anything. And that uncertainty sent me straight back to my research.

I already knew the dangers of parabens and phthalates from my nursing work on precocious puberty — how these substances penetrate the skin, enter the bloodstream, and act as endocrine disruptors. So when my diagnosis came, I started looking more closely at the products I was applying to my own skin every day.

What I found was unsettling. So many skincare lines — even professional ones — contained parabens, harsh sulfates, and ingredients hiding behind the word "fragrance." (Did you know that a single "fragrance" listing can legally conceal dozens of undisclosed chemicals, including parabens?)

I wasn't willing to accept that. Not for myself, and not for my clients.

I had already been envisioning a skincare line built on bio-active ingredients that are truly compatible with skin — delivered correctly, with results you can see. My Hashimoto's diagnosis made the mission undeniable: I needed products I could trust completely. Products where I knew every single ingredient.

So I created them. That's how JM Pro was born.
