Directions for Use
Use in the evening. Apply a small amount to cleansed face avoiding direct contact with eyes. Moisturizer can be applied over or under your retinol formula. Use twice weekly or more often based on skin tolerance as minor irritation can occur. If significant irritation occurs and persists, discontinue use. It is recommended that prior to exposure to the sun, users cover areas where retinol has been applied with sunblock. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency and duration.

Retinol: a fat-soluble form of Vitamin A that is stable in well-formulated products and generally well-tolerated, though it is sensitive to light, temperature, and packaging. It penetrates the stratum corneum primarily through intracellular transport — moving through the intercellular cement of ceramides, sterols, phospholipids, and fatty acids — and reaches deep into the dermis. Before it reaches the dermis, it interacts with the keratinocyte in the basal layer of the epidermis. Upon entering a keratinocyte, retinol binds to intracellular receptors, initiating a cascade of cellular activity that drives skin renewal, barrier strengthening, and structural remodeling. Cell Renewal & Keratinization — Penetrates the basal layer of the epidermis and interacts with keratinocyte receptors to promote cellular proliferation, accelerate keratinization, strengthen the epidermal protective function, and reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Collagen Synthesis & Anti-Aging — Stimulates fibroblasts to synthesize collagen Type I, improves skin elasticity, and protects existing collagen against degradation by inhibiting matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and collagenase — enzymes responsible for extracellular matrix breakdown. Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) is the stable, topically applied precursor to pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) — a component of Coenzyme A, which plays a critical role in intercellular lipid synthesis in the epidermis and fatty acid metabolism. Upon absorption into the skin, panthenol is enzymatically converted to pantothenic acid, which is then transported into deeper skin tissues where it actively improves moisture binding, supports barrier function, and promotes wound healing. Its dual action — both humectant and barrier-strengthening — makes it one of the most well-tolerated and effective hydrating actives in clinical skincare formulations. Humectant & Deep Moisturizing — Improves moisture supply within the skin and enhances the skin barrier's ability to attract and retain water, delivering sustained hydration at multiple skin depths. Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil Cold-pressed from dehydrated avocado flesh, this rich emollient and antioxidant oil deeply hydrates, softens, and calms reactive or compromised skin. Its predominantly monounsaturated fatty acid profile — led by oleic acid, with palmitic, linoleic, and palmitoleic acids — supports barrier repair and skin resilience. Avocado oil is also a source of bioactive sterols and tocopherols (β-sitosterol, α-tocopherol, γ-tocopherol, Δ5-avenasterol, and campesterol), which contribute to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Clinically relevant for dry, sensitive, eczema-prone, and psoriatic skin types.

Rosehip Seed Oil: a carrier oil cold-pressed from the seeds of rose bushes, prized in clinical skincare for its exceptionally high concentration of polyunsaturated essential fatty acids — including linoleic acid (Omega-6), linolenic acid (Omega-3), and oleic acid (Omega-9). These fatty acids work synergistically to repair the skin barrier, retain moisture, and reduce inflammation. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a polysaccharide and a compound that occurs naturally in every tissue of the body, with the highest concentrations occurring in tissues such as skin, cartilage and eyes. Providing protection to cell structures, HA is the natural gel between skin cells that serves as a water reservoir for the cells. As we age, skin loses hyaluronic acid and the ability to hold sufficient water in this reservoir. Feeding new hyaluronic acid to skin may help hydrate skin's inter-cellular reservoir, raising skin's moisture level, and smoothing down age lines. Glycerin (Vegetable Glycerin) A sugar alcohol compound derived from organic plant oils — including palm, soy, and coconut — composed of carbon chains and hydrophilic hydroxyl groups that give it exceptional water-attracting properties. Glycerin is water-soluble, odorless, colorless, viscous, and non-toxic, making it one of the most well-tolerated and widely used humectants in cosmetic formulation.
