For optimal results, always apply HA underneath an emollient or moisturizer. The emollient creates an occlusive seal over the HA, locking in the water it has attracted and preventing transepidermal water loss (TEWL). This layering technique allows the skin to fully benefit from HA's water-binding properties — keeping skin continuously hydrated, soft, and barrier-supported.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a polysaccharide and a compound that occurs naturally in every tissue of the body, with the highest concentrations occurring in tissues such as skin, cartilage and eyes. Providing protection to cell structures, HA is the natural gel between skin cells that serves as a water reservoir for the cells. As we age, skin loses hyaluronic acid and the ability to hold sufficient water in this reservoir. Feeding new hyaluronic acid to skin may help hydrate skin's inter-cellular reservoir, raising skin's moisture level, and smoothing down age lines. The benefits of HA being in the formulation are usually connected with reduction of the skin aging, reduction of the depth of lines and wrinkles (including fine lines), decrease of skin fragility, improvement of skin firmness and texture, decrease in pore size, restoration of skin brightening, and improvement of skin barrier function. •HA has an amazing capacity to retain water and stimulate fibroblast proliferation and migration. Glycerin is a sugar alcohol compound containing carbons and hydrophilic hydroxyl groups that can be obtained from natural sources or can be synthesized. It is obtained from organic plant oils like organic palm, organic soya, and organic coconut oil. It is water soluble and non-toxic • Acts as a moisturizing and emollient agent in which it can soften and soothe skin. • Acts as a humectant: It is used in formulas to help the skin retain moisture: It is highly hygroscopic ( tending to absorb moisture from the air) and viscous (having a thick, sticky consistency between solid and liquid), odorless, and colorless. Endogenous glycerol, which makes up part of the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factor, plays a role in skin hydration, cutaneous elasticity and epidermal barrier repair. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7: synthetic peptide composed of four amino acids (glycine-glutamine- proline-arginine) and palmitic acid. The addition of the fatty acid palmitic acid enhances the stability and permeability of the ingredient to the skin. skin repair ingredient with anti-inflammatory properties: protects extracellular matrix components from degradation by reducing the production of interleukin-6 (IL IL-6) by keratinocytes and fibroblasts, key cells in the skin. Tripeptide-1: signal peptide with the amino sequence of glycine-histidine-lysine, or GHK. GHK is attached to palmitic acid (a fatty acid) to increase oil solubility and skin penetration. Considered a Matrikine signal peptide which originates from the fragmentation of extracellular matrix proteins and regulates cellular activities by interacting with specific receptors. Matrikines are involved in the process of extracellular matrix renewal and cellular proliferation. Stimulates collagen synthesis by activating the transforming growth factor TGF-ß. HA is ubiquitous in body tissues and is best known for its capability of attracting water molecules. The highly polar structure of HA makes it capable of binding 10,000 times its own weight in water. HA is used exogenously for the promotion of tissue regeneration and skin repair

Ganoderma Lucidum (Reishi Mushroom): Acts as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agent. Also exhibits moderate tyrosinase inhibition when compared to kojic acid. It is an extract of the caps and stalks of mushroom, ganoderma lucidum. It contains ganoderic acids, mannitol and coumarins as active compounds. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties are due to ergosterol, a fungal sterol. Moreover, it shows an anti-allergic effect due to the presence of linoleic-, oleic-, stearic, and palmitic acid by preventing the release of histamine.

Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract: Tyrosinase Inhibitor: inhibits tyrosinase activity thus suppresses melanogenesis, balances uneven skin tone.
